Killingworth’s Public Works Department is responsible for over 72 miles of paved and gravel roads and for town properties, including the town hall, the office of the resident state trooper, and the transfer station. The department currently has 5 full-time employees; contractors assist with seasonal work such as snow removal and catch-basin cleaning. The Public Works department is on call 24/7 for town emergencies such as downed trees and collapsed roads.
